Plot:
After car mechanic Willi Schulze and election expert Willy Schneider get a car accident, they both lose their memory. The police assume Schulze is the expert and rapidly he turns into the pivot in a stone-hard election-contest.

Review: (FIRST HALF FUNNY)
Though never subtle this Dieter Hallervorden vehicle does not have the tastelessness of some of his other films, and certainly the first half is entertaining and funny (a little knowledge about German politics is required here). But the satire dies out and the story switches to a too sentimental story with Dieter trying to get back his young friend Paul. Only at the end the satire comes back, but the viewer (at least this one) is already too bored with Paul to be interested again. The end of the film is very badly scripted: at once the film is over and the viewer waiting for a meaningful ending. Director Schabenitzky keeps the comedy and especially Hallervorden under control thereby avoiding getting it too farcical.

Review: (Good if you want nothing else than to have fun )
If you want entertainment with any deeper meaning, this is the wrong film for you. This movie is comedy and nothing else. If you know Dieter Hallervorden as an excellent artist from the political revue, you will be disappointed. The Hallervorden of the 1980s was a slapstick comedian who called himself "Didi" and made one film after the other with a similar plot.
But if you just want to have fun, perhaps when watching TV with your children in the afternoon, you will enjoy this. Most scenes are like in comics or cartoons, with gangsters, wild chases, explosions, breaking glasses etc. I give seven points.

Dr. Dieter Hallervorden 'Didi' (Dr. in Romanistics) made his 2nd movie in 1984 of the New-West-German-Comedy (1970s-1989) era. The revenge of the non-heiring persons was planed with not so much intellect, but the simple gags are a sign of that time. If you enter it with a kind of funny, small humour, you won't forget ever, if you expect intellect or long arranged gags, then you should stay out.
